Concert photographer in Dublin

I’m Zoltan Szabo, and I photograph live music in Dublin — small rooms, theatres, arenas and outdoor shows — for the artists on stage and the people who put them there.

What a night’s coverage includes

One show, photographed end to end: the stage as it was lit, the artist, and the room that turned up for it.

I work from the pit of small sweaty rooms up to arena barricades. Lighting changes every bar and nobody does a take two, so the job is reading a set fast enough to be in the right place when it tips over — the jump, the wall of light, the face in the front row.

Half of a live show is the crowd, so the crowd gets equal billing. If a venue or promoter needs the room itself — the production, the lighting rig, a full house from the balcony — that is part of the same night.

Dublin is home, so most of this is a short trip and a known load-in. Shows elsewhere in Ireland and across Europe are covered from the same base.

  • Stage and artist frames across the full set, not only the first three songs where the pit allows it
  • Crowd, barrier and atmosphere from the floor and, where access allows, from the balcony
  • Production and venue frames — lighting rig, screens, the room at capacity
  • Club rooms, theatres, arenas and outdoor city shows
  • Support acts and headliner in one pass on multi-band bills

Who this is for

  • Artists and bands — live imagery for socials, press and your own archive
  • Management and labels — consistent coverage across a run of dates
  • Promoters — images of the night that sell the next one
  • Venues — the room working, at capacity, lit as it really looks
  • Publications — editorial coverage filed against a deadline

Access differs: an artist or promoter booking is usually a full set with stage access, an editorial night is often three songs from the pit. Tell me which one it is in the enquiry and the plan follows from that.

If a publication has already accredited you and you need someone on it, that is fine too — say which title and what they expect to run.

Delivery, formats and licensing

Every shoot is delivered edited and colour-matched: full-resolution files for print and press, web-sized versions, and social crops sized for stories and feeds.

Licensing is agreed before the night, not after it. Editorial, promotional and commercial use are all available, and the terms are written into the booking so nobody has to guess later. Photographer credit is Zoltan Szabo unless a publication specifies its own format.
