Festival photographer in Ireland
Main stage to the back of the field. I photograph festivals across Ireland from a base in Dublin — the sets, the production, the crowd and the day around them.
What gets photographed
A festival is a day, not a set. The coverage is built to describe the whole of it — and to be usable the moment it lands.
Main stage first: the headline sets, the production doing what it was designed to do, and the moments a lighting plot builds towards. Smaller stages and tents get the same treatment on a tighter clock.
Then the part that proves it was a festival rather than a gig — the crowd from the pit and from behind, the site as it fills, the weather and the hours between sets. Promoters tend to need those frames more than another guitarist in a spotlight.
Outdoors changes the job: flat daylight at 4pm, no lights at all by 6pm, and a rig at full power by 10pm. All three are part of the same delivery and get colour-matched to sit together.
- Main-stage sets, and support and side stages where the running order allows
- Crowd from the pit, the barrier and the back of the field
- Atmosphere and site — arena build, signage, food strip, campsite, weather
- Production and venue frames: rig, screens, pyro, lasers, the site at capacity
- Artist portraits backstage where the schedule and access allow
The crowd, and the hours around the sets
Gates to last song. The people who bought the ticket are most of what a festival looks like, and they are most of what gets photographed. The rest of the live and crowd work is in the homepage gallery.

Travelling to the site
Dublin is the base and the whole of Ireland is in range — a field in Kerry is a drive, not an expedition. Travel to a site the day before is normal for an early load-in, and I work the same way on either side of the border.
Festivals outside Ireland are covered from the same base; that is the European tour and travel side of the work.
Accreditation, pit rotations, wristbands and photographer briefings are the promoter’s call — tell me the rules and I will work inside them without needing to be chased.
